  3. Boot up meter… Press the start/resetkey for at least 2 seconds to boot up the meter. And enter to the main menu. Main menu

  4. Measurement setup… Setup menu 1st page Press set to go to the Setup menu.

  5. Calendar setting… Press enter to the calendar setup page. Press leftand right to move the cursor to ‘Modify Clock GMT’ Press left and right keys to move the cursor, and press up and down key to change the value.

  6. More settings… Press left and right keys to move cursor to ‘Mea. time’, and press up and down to change values. Move cursor to ‘Name’, press enter to go to file name setup page. There is more detail later. ‘Rundelay’ use to setup the measurement starting time delay after press run; ‘Raydelay’ controls the lasting time of background light. ‘Wei’: to set the frequency-weighted from A, C, and Z; time-weighted from F, S, and I. For normal test, we recommend using A, F mode.

  7. More settings(Cont.) Press Setup button again to go to 2nd page of setup. Left and rightkeys to move the cursor to ‘Plot mode’, then press upand down keys to select mode to be Graph, then you can print out the data with graph, otherwise, no graph can be printed. More detail in following slides For the unit with GSM module that has SIM card inside: Set the ‘SMS send’ to be on,and add in your phone # to ‘Num0’ or‘Num1’;The measurement results will automatically sent to your mobile phone.

  8. Printing(with mini printer)… The instrument will auto save the data after finished the measurement. Go to main menu and pick ‘Data’ to recall the data. You can see a bunch of saved data here.

  9. Print batch or single data… Or you can press enter to open one specific data, then press Out to only print this single data. No. name 5 Press enter again to show the graphic view of data, then press Out can print the data with graph. Left and right key to move cursor to desired position. Then press Out key to print out all data that below the cursor.

  10. File name setting… Use left and right keys to move cursor to ‘Name’, press enter to go to name setup page. Move the cursor to ’Setup’, and press enter to go to setup page Setup page

  11. File Name Setting(Cont.)… Use delete key and setup key to move the cursor in file name. Use outkey to delete the existed name. Use left and right keys to move the cursor to highlight the characters. And press enter to pick the highlighted character.

  12. 3rd Page of Setup… 0° Press Set again to go to 3rd page of setup. 90° ‘Direct’ is used to set the incident angle of sound source to the microphone. Normal we use 0°, when the microphone points to the sound source. When it is worked with AWA2581, outdoor monitoring system, the direct should set as 90° Move the cursor to ‘ Zone’ and use up and down key to change to the suitable time zone.

  13. Frequently Asked Questions … • 1)Clock lost • Solution: • a.Turn on the instrument, and keep working up to 8hrs. Then the internal battery will be auto recharged. • b.If it still cannot work property after so, please return in to the retailer for repair. • Recommends: For those who do not use the meter often, please turn on the meter for at lease 8hrs per month. • 2)The instrument cannot be boot up • Solution : • a. Check the battery power. Replace with new batteries or external power supply to retry again. • b. Check the LCD contrast. It maybe too light. Press up after you turn on the meter to make adjust. (check the video later.) • c. Check the battery’s leakage, and battery clips’ oxidation condition. • Maintenance requirements :More than 80% of Instruments that cannot be turned, are due to the battery’s leakage. Leave the battery inside the instrument for a long time without using, cause battery leaks, and eventually lead to corrosion of PCB. So, for those instrument that are not in use for a long term, please remove the battery.

  14. Frequently Asked Questions … • 3) The screen display is not normal (too light or too dark) • Solution:Adjust the contrast • a. Power on the meter, then press up key (display too light) or press down key (display too dark), and not let go until the display normally. • b.Go to the setup menu to adjust the contract. :
