She was trying to sneak over the border into the united states when the border guards caught her. She was about to be turned into an eejit like the rest of the other immigrants when El Patron showed up and decided that he liked her. He let her stay and work as a cook for himself.

They decided to start it because they thought it would be nice and because Celia wanted to start a garden. There really was not purpose behind starting the garden besides the fact that Celia wanted to start one.

Tam Llin was trying to kill the priminister of England but instead he accidentally killed 20 children by accidentally blowing up a bus. Tam Lin feels very sorry for what he did he wishes he could take back it but he cannot. However he still believes that the primister deserves it.

What was the purpose of it and what does Matt think of it? • Tam Lin hits Matt to make an illusion for Mr. Alacran so that Matt can escape and so that it will not raise any suspicion for Him. At first Matt thinks that Tam Lin had turned into a bad person and really did not love him because he hit him.

But towards the end of the book you find out that El Patron did not really love Matt. El Patron only loved Matt for what he could do for him. He only cared about Matt for transplants.

19. What is suppose to happen to clones when they are born and why did they not do it to El Patrons clone? • When clones are born there brain is suppose to be destroyed. Matt’s brain was not destroyed because El Patron did not want his brain destroyed. He wanted him to be able to grow up like a normal boy.

20. Why did El Patron create eejit's. • El Patron created eejit’s to save his country of Opium. He made a barginwith the United States and Mexico for them to give him his own country under one condition. The condition was that he was not suppose to allow illegal immigrants to cross over to either of the counties border. Immigrants were being allowed to cross over the United States border and he was threatened to have his country taken away from him. He created eejit’s so that he could have an entire army at his disposal so that noone would be able to get over the border. Another reason ws that he would get free workers from the immigrants which he needed for his farms.

21. What does El Patron do when he has his second heart attack? What happens to Matt because of this heart attack. Explain who actually helps Matt get away. • When El Patron has his second heart attack he sends men to find his clone (Matt). He needs Matt’s heart to survive because his heart(s) cannot keep him alive any more. When El Patron has this heart attack he is forced to escape or die. He is able to escape with the help of some of his friends (mainly Tam Lin).
