  10. John Murray – Arts & Sciences Dean Most recently: Chair of Psychology, Georgia Southern University Subdiscipline: Cognitive Psychology
  11. Christopher “Kit” Murphy - Biology Chair of the Department of Biology Doctorate from Cornell University. Most recently: Department of Biology at James Madison University.
  12. Joy O’Keefe - Biology Ph.D. from Clemson University (Wildlife and Fisheries Biology). Joy will be working closely with the Center for North American Bat and Research Conservation.
  13. Gary Gill – Chemistry & Physics Ph.D. in Chemistry from Jackson State University. Research interests are in undergraduate chemistry education and structural studies with computational chemistry.
  14. Richard Gunawardane – Chemistry and Physics Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen in the UK. Research in inorganic chemistry. Has taught in Sri Lanka, the UK, Germany, Sweden, France, and the US. Comes to ISU from New Hampshire University.
  15. LaKesha Anderson - Communications Ph.D. in Communication with health emphasis from George Madison University. Research agenda primarily on women’s health and nursing communication.
  16. Avdi Avdija – Criminology and Criminal Justice Ph.D. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Teaching courses in law enforcement and criminal justice.
  17. Melanie D’Amico – Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics M.A. in Spanish with concentration in Linguistics from the University of Florida. Completing her doctorate in Spanish with a concentration in Linguistics also at the University of Florida.
  18. Administrative Assistant Has served at ISU in various capacities. Past member of the Support Staff Council.

    Paula Riggen – Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics

  19. Jeffrey Kinne – Math and Computer Science Bachelor’s degree from Xavier University. Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
  20. Jeremy Strayer – Math and Computer Science Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Mathematics Education. Scholarly interests include learning environments, pedagogical use of technology.
  21. Roby George - Music Director of Bands Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati College – Conservatory of Music. Most recently: The University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana
  22. Matthew Bergbower – Political Science Ph.D. in Political Science from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. Worked for the Illinois Governor’s office before coming to ISU.
  23. Nathan Myers – Political Science Ph.D. in Public Affairs from University of Nevada. Teaches courses in the Master of Public Administration program.
  24. Lois Pilipis - Psychology Director of the Psychology Clinic Masters and PhD in School Psychology from Ball State University.
