What is podiatric medicine? Podiatric medicine is the highly specialized branch of medicine dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders affecting the foot, ankle, and lower extremities.

What is a DPM? Doctors of Podiatric Medicine are the only doctors to receive specialized medical and surgical training and board certification in the care of the lower extremity. They conduct physical examinations, prescribe medications, and treat patients in a myriad of sub-specialties.
