Advantages of Action Research Approach • Improved buy in from schools • Better evaluation of activities • Stronger relationships between schools and University • Increased understanding of schools curriculum • Current learning styles in schools • Curriculum gaps can be identified
Student Voice Activities School Student led research into the wants and needs of schools • Increase ownership of activities by students • Aides transition increased responsibility for learning in university environment • Increases student satisfaction in activities provided as they match the wants and needs of students
STEM Labs Practice Transfer Partnership • HE STEM Project managed by The Reach Out Lab at Imperial College • Reach Out Lab is a dedicated Outreach Lab for schools in the Greater London (and wider) area • Project shares business models, staffing, good practice and learning with other outreach labs (existing or an idea) • Set up national network of outreach labs
