1. Novena to Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina

2. OPENING PRAYER Dear Padre Pio, for fifty years your body bore the wounds of Christ and you suffered willingly as a victim for others.

3. You never took off the crown of thorns yet always have the time to talk, to listen and to pray. Intercede for me now for you once said, “ As the pearls are held together by a thread, thus virtues are held together by charity; as the pearls fall when the thread breaks, thus virtues as lost if charity diminishes.” Amen.

4. PRAYER TO ST. PIO OF PIETRELCINA O God, You gave St. Pio of Pietrelcina, Capuchin priest, the great privilege of participating in a unique way in the passion of Your Son, grant through his intercession the grace of doing Your will which I ardently desire;

5. And above all grant me the grace of living in conformity with the death of Jesus, to arrive at the glory of the resurrection. Glory be…. (3x)

6. O Jesus, full of grace and charity, victim for sinners, so impelled by Your love for us that You suffered willingly to die on the cross, I humbly entreat You to glorify in heaven and on earth Your servant, Padre Pio of Pietrelcina who generously participated in Your sufferings, who loved You so much

7. And labored so faithfully for the glory of Your heavenly Father and for the good of souls. With confidence, I pray that You grant me, through his intercession, the grace which I ask for which is …….. Glory be.. (3x)

8. PRAYER FOR HEALING Lord Jesus, You said, You did not come for those who are well. You came rather to console us who are suffering. You came for us who are in pain because of our own weaknesses. You came to heal our body, heart and soul.

9. O Jesus, we know that there are no sickness, no illness that You cannot heal as long as You will it. We know how much You love us that You have offered even Your own life to save us from anything that enslaves us.

10. O Sweet Jesus, through the prayers of Your humble servant, Padre Pio, through those prayerful intercession You have granted his children countless miraculous healing, I beseech You, please heal me. Please heal my wounded soul, mind and body.

11. My Jesus, my Lord Jesus, I have been suffering for so long now, please have mercy on me. Only say the word and I shall be healed. Silently pray for your personal intentions for the healing of any kind of illness.

15. LITANY • So that my soul becomes a nest of love • Stay with me Jesus for it is getting late and the day is coming to a close • Because life passes • Because death, judgment and eternity are sure to come STAY WITH ME LORD

16. LITANY • It is necessary to renew my strength • So that I will not stop along the way • Because I need You • It is getting late and death approaches • Because I fear the darkness • Because I fear the temptations STAY WITH ME LORD

17. LITANY • Because I fear the dryness • Because I fear the cross • Because I fear the sorrow • Oh how I need You, my Lord Jesus, in this night of exile STAY WITH ME LORD

18. LITANY • I need You in my life with all its dangers • Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of the bread • So that the Eucharistic Communion becomes the Light which disperses the darkness STAY WITH ME LORD

19. LITANY • So that the Eucharist becomes the force which sustains me • So that the Eucharist becomes the unique joy of my heart • Because at the hour my death, I want to remain united to You • I want to be united with You with grace and love STAY WITH ME LORD

20. LITANY • I do not ask for divine consolation because I do not merit it • The gift of Your presence, O yes, I ask this of You • For it is You alone I look for • For it is Your Love that I am longing for • For it is Your Grace that I am longing for STAY WITH ME LORD

21. LITANY • For it is Your Will that I am longing for • For it is Your Heart that I am longing for • For it is Your Spirit that I am longing for • Because I love You • I ask no other reward • So as to love You more and more STAY WITH ME LORD

22. LITANY • With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen. STAY WITH ME LORD

23. PRAYER THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF ST. PIO OF PIETRELCINA Dear God, You generously blessed Your servant, St. Pio of Pietrelcina, with the gifts of the Spirit. You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son.

24. Endowed with the gift of discernment, St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls. With reverence and intense devotion in the celebration of the Mass, he has invited countless men and women to greater union with Jesus Christ in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

25. Through the intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina, confidently beseech You to grant me the grace of ……. Amen.
