  3. PI-GOOS aims to; • Increase Pacific Island support for Ocean Observing. • Raise awareness of Marine Observations in the Pacific. • Assist with uptake of Marine Data in the Pacific. • Make Observations relevant for managers.

  10. Summary • Argo is providing real and immediate benefit to the Pacific Islands. • Seasonal climate predictions • Long term climate predictions • Pacific leaders are becoming aware of this, and therefore support the programme.
