Types of Dot OSP License Domestic DOT OSP License– Domestic OSP license is needed if the calling is just within India. International calling is not allotted with this type of registration. International DOT Licence– International DOT licence is needed if the calling is only out of India. Domestic calling is not allotted in this type of registration. Domestic and International registration– This type of license allows you to call both in India and out of India as well. The Combined license requires that the centre should be a minimum of 50 seaters and the bank guarantee of Rs 50 lakh is to be furnished to the government. This may be increased for a further period of maximum 3 years after expiry Terms for running a domestic OSP centre (1) Domestic OSP is allowed to eliminate PSTN/PLMN connection with an outgoing facility on the similar EPABX provided that such PSTN/PLMN lines shall be used for making calls through normal NLD network only and in no way directly or indirectly affect bypass of licensed National Long Distance Operator (NLDO) jurisdiction. There shall be a sensible partitioning to assure the separation of these facilities. All may have other connectivity e.g. lease circuit and virtual private network (VPN) at the same centre, however, there shall not be any call run between these PSTN lines and Leased lines. (2) Interconnectivity of two or more Domestic OSP Centres of the same organization or group of organizations is allowed. (3) Domestic OSP is allowed to use Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) connections only for the purpose of back up of domestic leased circuits.
(4) The Authority holds the right to carry out the report periodically. If the Authority is convinced that there has been a violation of any of the situations, it reserves the right to take punitory action including forfeiture of the security deposit and/or the removal of the registration.
