Job description Job title: Graduate Software Engineer Reports to: Head of Development Salary: Competitive Closing date: 30th June 2013 Established in 2011 Wowcher is now the second largest daily deal site in the UK. Our site uses the power of group buying to get unbeatable deals on the best stuff to do, see, visit, eat and buy in a variety of cities in the UK. We target young, affluent females who can’t resist the temptation of our WOW factor deals, and focus our marketing spend on adding to our large database. Wowcherland can be found in Kensington, London, where most of our fun and fabulous team reside. Purpose of the role: We are looking for a bright, hardworking, ambitious graduate to assist in design, development and delivery of our web and mobile sites and back office systems. • Main responsibilities: • Test Driven Development. • Ability to analyse business requirements, propose and implement solutions. • Problem solving and bug fixing. • Developing components for a large ecommerce website using SOA. You will use Java EE, Spring Framework, RDBMS (Oracle), Maven, Javascript, Amazon AWS cloud services. • Experience: • You must have achieved at least a 2.1 honours degree in computing, maths, engineering or similar related degree. • Desirable to have: • You must be able to demonstrate a website you have built. • Experience using Java/Spring/Hibernate/Oracle/Maven/Javascript/AWS Cloud • Experience developing Restful Web services • Maven
