  2. Los Adjetivos • Are used to talk about what you and others are like. (They describe people and things.) • In Spanish, most adjectives have both masculine and feminine forms.

  3. Masculine Adjectives • Are used to describe masculine nouns. Ex. Marcos esordenado y simpático. (Marcos is organized and nice.)

  4. Feminine Adjectives • Are used to describe feminine nouns. Ex. Marta esordenada. (Marta is organized.)

  5. Other Adjectives • Adjectives that end in –e describe both masculine and feminine nouns. Ex. Anita esinteligente. (Anita is smart.) Ex. Pedro esinteligente. (Pedro is smart.)

  6. The verb ‘ser’ • (Yo) soy: I am • (Yo) no soy: I am not • (Él/Ella) es: He/She is • This verb is used to describe someone or something. Ex. Laura esgraciosa. (Laura is funny.)

  7. ¡Vamos a practicar! • Translate the following sentences: 1. Susana is artistic. 2. Pablo is talented. 3. I am daring. 4. I am not sports-minded. • Susana esartística. • Pablo estalentoso. • (Yo) soyatrevido/a. • (Yo) no soy deportista.

  8. ¿Cómoes? • Fill in the blank with the correct adjective. (Don’t forget adjective agreement). (sociable, trabajador, deportista, estudioso, reservado) 1. Me gustapracticardeportes.
