GLENBROOK’S GOALS • Student Achievement Goal of 32.2 % Proficient in Math • Student Achievement Goal of 52.3% Proficiency in RLA • API Target of 700 • All Subgroups Meeting Target Growth by 2011 • Increased Student Engagement • Increased Parent/Community Involvement
MAJOR STRATEGIES • Rigorous Instructional Practices • Improved Student Engagement • Increased Instructional Time • Experiential Learning and Enrichment Activities for Students
ACTION PLAN OF SUPPORT • Full Time Reading Specialist • RTI Training • Create A Learning Center • Utilizing INSIDE for EL Students • Common Pacing Guides • Common Assessments (Curriculum Associates) • Data Informed Instruction • PLC / Collaboration
ACTION PLAN OF SUPPORT • Use of Fred Jones Strategies • Board Math for AIMS Classes • Hiring Full Time Math, RLA, and Data Coaches • Hiring A Turnaround Specialist • Contracting with Content Specialist Such as Phil Gonsalves, Phyllis Goldsmith, and Aida Walqui • Reward & Recognition (Renaissance Program) • Summer Intervention/Enrichment Program • Increased Support Services: Library (Full Time), Psychologist (Additional Intern 4 days/week)
