Natasha’s Dance Lessons Business plan presentation
Mission Statement The goal of my business is to provide diverse dance classes at all levels to meet a larger variety of dancers’ needs.
Competition • There aren’t many dance studios in Santa Barbara County • Natasha’s Dance Lessons will have a competitive advantage over the competition because We will offer a wider range of classes and levels. Our staff will also be unbeatable.
The Team • My very experienced staff includes: Kara Wells (ballet and Point), Mark Salsbury (jazz and Broadway), Martha Polly (flamenco, African, and world dance), Lisa Gram (Modern and contemporary) , John Thomson (hip hop and breaking), and myself (all). • I have been dancing since age 4 and been a teacher for 5 years.
Market Summary • There have always been some very accomplished studios in Santa Barbara county including State Street ballet and The Los Olivos Dance Gallery. • I hope that one day my business will be as good as theirs.
Business Concept • My business is based on amazing instructors with tons of experience and top of the line learning facilities.
Goals and Objectives • In five years, I see my business being a leading dance studio in Santa Barbara county. • In two years I plan to build a staff that brings lots of business. • More dancers • More studios
Resource Requirements • Resources: • Highly trained teachers • Marley covered dance studios complete with ballet bars and sound systems • Enough money to pay employees and for the studio • The studio will have an annual show to promote and raise money for the business
Risks and Rewards • I am running the risk of being unable to find suitable teachers. • I expect that having the studio in Santa Barbara will terminate this issue.
Key Issues • Near term • I am going to need to get more money to start this business. • Postponement is not an issue. Although I hope to have a small business by next year. • Long term • After this business is up and running, the only issue that I foresee is getting and keeping permanent dance instructors.
