Topic: Dr Mohammad Iqbal (1877_1938) The Thinker of Pakistan and The Great Poet
Long Term Goals: • Students should know and aware about our actual national heroes like Allama Iqbal. • Students should read the poetry of Allama Iqbal and understand it. • Students idealized the personality of Dr Iqbal.
Short term Goals: • Students should read and understand Allama Iqbal s poetry which include in their syllabus. • Students pronounce and write the difficult words which is in verses. • Students use internet websites to search Iqbal biography and make an assignment by using it. • Students make a detail project in group about Iqbal s life and his contribution for Muslim umma by using modern techniques .
Solution to Anticipated challenges: CHALLENGES SOLUTION • The Principal may not agree with my new approaches. • College will not provide internet facility. • There may be some students who do not want to work together. • : • I will share my lesson planning and views to principal. • Students use internet at their home. • I will randomly group students to encourage collaboration with all class.
Instructional Strategies and Task: • I will provide more opportunities for students to answer questions that higher_ order thinking. • I will provide students with time for group discussion. • I will provide students internet sources to collect data. • I will allow students to go various library and also meet any one historian. • I will ask questions that require students to explain how they came to answer.
Conclusion By implementing Blooms taxonomy 21st century teaching approaches, students will be empowered and will appreciate and gain a better knowledge of our national hero Dr Mohammed Allama Iqbal. (Inshallah)
