Definitions • Circle – set of all points that are equidistant from a given point • Radius – segment whose endpoints are the center of a circle and any point on the circle • Chord – segment whose endpoints are on the circle • Diameter – chord that contains the center • Secant – line that intersects a circle at two points • Tangent – line that intersects a circle at exactly one point • Point of Tangency – point on a circle where the circle intersects the tangent line
