  2. Roger Williams was born in Engand and grew up to be a minister . He believed people should worship the way that they wanted to . In 1631 he moved to massachusette . He preached in towns in the colony but the colony banned him from massachusette . Yet he was getting very ill and winter was coming so thay let him stay if he agred to not talk about politiks. Then but he contenyoud to. In 1636 he walk for 3 days in the snow. To get to Narragansett Bay. William moved to a piece of land that he called provienece plantation. He establish a new colony. he was granterd a charter in1643. he named it Rhode island. The colony’s freedom of religion .The colony was safe from attacks because Roger was friends with the Indians. Roger William died in 1684.
