  2. Tuk Tuk • Tuk-Tuks are three wheeled, motorized vehicles that are useful for short distances throughout Thailand • Tuk-Tuks were invented in Thailand over 50 years ago, evolving as a motorized relative of the rickshaw. • The Tuk-Tuk was given its name from the rather rough sound of the early models. • One reason they are so useful is because they are small and help with the traffic congestion.

  3. Chao Phraya Express Boat • Chao Phraya Express Boats were started by Khunying Supatra Singhulaka in September 1971. • They have 65 boats and cover 21km of the river and stop at 34 peirs. • They carry between 35,000 and 40,000 people every day • They are great fun to ride on.

  4. Long-tail Taxi • These boats move people up and down the canals of Bangkok. • The canals (klongs) are very dirty and the water can splash you • 90,000 people use these boats every day • Getting in or out can be real fun.

  5. Thai Airways • Thai Airways started in 1960 • They have 88 aircraft from Boeing, Airbus and ATR • In Thailand they fly to 11 cities and overseas to 64 cities in 35 countries • Thai flies to my home town “Melbourne”. First Logo

  6. Taxi • There are many types of taxis in Bangkok • Some have good cars some have not so good cars • We use taxi’s some times to come to Patana to play football on Saturday

  7. BTS / MRT • The BTS (sky train) started in December 1999 and has 23km of track and 23 stations • The MRT (underground) started in July 2004 and has 20km of track and 18 stations • Using the train is the fastest way of getting around Bangkok
