  2. The Demand Exists • Env. Eng. is one of two engineering disciplines which the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts will have “much faster than average growth” over the next 10 years • As a profession, Environmental Engineering is larger than biomedical, materials, and chemical engineering

  3. A Potentially Lucrative Career • According to The Consumerist magazine*, Environmental Engineering is one of the top 10 college degrees based on salary: • Median starting salary = $53,400 • Median mid-career salary = $94,500 * http://consumerist.com/2010/05/the-10-best-paying-college-majors.html
