  2. What is an Individual Graduation Plan?? • A plan that guides you through your high school years and beyond! Through the IGP, you choose your classes and discussyour potential career interests. • The IGP is a legal requirement for every student to assure that when high school graduation comes, you have met all requirements and are ready to walk across that stage and receive your high school diploma!

  5. Centers of Study There are programs focused on a specific area of study located throughout the district. They provide students with focused knowledge and skills at the advanced level. Students from all the district’s high schools are eligible to apply to and participate in these programs: • Arts, AV Technology & Communications (Summerville HS) • Manufacturing (Summerville HS) • Agriculture Food & Natural Resources (Ashley Ridge HS) • Dorchester County Career & Technology Center (DCCTC) • The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (Fort Dorchester HS) • Human Services (Summerville HS) • Youth Apprenticeship Program (Trident Tech College)

  12. 4 Year SC College Requirements (In addition to your SC High School Diploma Requirements) • Your 4 Math classes must be: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry and a Higher Level Math (ex.pre-calculus, statistics, calculus) • Your 3 Sciences must be Lab Sciences (including Biology) • 2 World Language (some colleges require 3 of the same language) • 1 Fine Art • 1 Additional Academic Elective

A Note about ROTC • ROTC is an alternative to PE for high school requirements. • Students who take ROTC will learn about Military drills, structure, ranking, etc. • ROTC students wear a uniform to school one day a week. • There are out of school activities and scholarships associated with ROTC that students can but are not obligated to participate in.
