  3. Theme • Working hard and staying loyal and you will reap rich rewards.

  4. Concept Statement • Life can get crazy, and out of control but it’s what we make out of that insanity that really matters. • The play itself is a comedy, I’ve chosen to go with a slapstick style. The play will be set in the present day. I want the actors to sell the play more than the script itself.

  5. Conflict • When a bank robber traps four bank employees in a vault they must figure out how to survive and cope with the stress of captivity as well as each other.

  6. Stage • As for the set, I will go with a bare stage with two chairs and a table using lighting to set the locations in the play. • A wide, center light blue, light will act as the vault. While for the entrance of the bank will be our normal house lights.

  7. Bank inspiration • I like the lighting here that nice light blue gives off a very metallic feel, I think it could do the same for our stage.

  8. Bank inspiration • I like the spacing of the two chairs used by the two characters in this picture with the table in the other picture this would work out to make a nice set for this play

Characters: Marge • Marge – (Bank Manager) Marge is all about protocol and following things “By the book” even when her own Bank is being robbed. • As the manger I would like for her to be dressed as a business woman with a name-tag (if possible) maybe something black such as a white dress shirt with a black blouse and skirt and black high-hills. A sliver watch and maybe a necklace would be nice as well.

Characters: The Bank Robber/ Mr.Jacobson • The Bank Robber – (Mr. Jacobson Owner of the bank) Is under cover as the Robber (and in reality is robbing his own bank) as training to see if Marge is ready to take over a reagent manager. Even if it cost the lives of a few customers and workers. • As a the bank robber I want it simple. A black mask, gloves (trash gloves or leather gloves would do) Jean (black/Blue) with a belt and a watch.

  11. Characters: AARON • Aaron – (loan specialist) Arron is having the time of his life being robbed and wants to be the big hero. He is the nerd who wants to be in the in crowd. When you see Aaron you think of a child in a man’s body. • (I want to see) Any suit or just a dress outfit will do. However I would like to see Aaron have a funny tie such a tie will cartoons or a pictures on it.

  12. Characters: Tina • Tina – (guard) Tina is a guard for the bank and wants to get out of the bank alive. She spends most of the play worried about being shot by the robber. She also acts as the voice of reason about ¾ of the time. • I would like to see a badge, with a grey or light blue shirt (tucked in) black or more grey dress pants with a belt, black dress shoes and a holster for her gun. If possible a security guard hat, would help, also some handcuffs just for show.

Characters: Becca • Becca – (Teller) Becca is not the sharpest tool and a very lazy compared to her co-woker. she never seems to grasp the situation she’s in. • I would like Becca to appear as lazy and unconcerned (doesn’t need blonde hair). A dress shirt top button unbuttoned. Short skirt (once again within reasoning) high-hills, long necklace, earrings and maybe one or two rings on her fingers. I would like to avoid using the colors black,grey and white, dress shirt is ok for white with her costume (understandable if it can’t be helped).

  14. Why this play? • This play has a great range of character types. I thought It would be an easy yet fun start for my first play, the set doesn’t require much nor is there a long list of props.

  15. The Message • For my play this isn’t really a “great” message really. I simply wanted a play to make other laughs, we all have does “stupid moments” where we do something that makes absolutely no sense. The characters in this play do this 24/7 I would like the audience to relate with them in that way.

Senses • Taste: A sour candy turning sweet (sour patch kids for example) this play should leave you with a “wow didn’t see that coming” moment • Smell: a skunk in a rose garden you smell the sweet roses but you cauch a wif of the skunk. It throws you back. • Touch: a smooth vase: cold to the touch but yet pleasant. • Sound: two trains on a collision course: fast, crazy, never knowing when the collision will come just the fact it will.
