Overview Samsung UD is a solution to freely configure video wall with various content. Control node operator can select content, position and size with simple mouse click over Gigabit LAN (same subnet). Support file format: Images: JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF, and GIF file (less than 25M pixels) Large Images: JPEG, TIFF, and PNG file (less than 1G pixels and after processing) Video: Mov (for Quicktime playback) {other format from next release} Application components: Display Node – Client monitor with UD. Control Node – Configure video wall and content management. Display Node - Video content is transmitted to UD screens. Stream Node – Capture card content or WMV video is transmitted to UD screens.

Software Installation Control Node for evaluation requires license key. This license key resides on specific USB. Decide which USB key should contain license key and connect to computer. Run this application and copy the USB key information. Please email this information to kcryu@samsung.com, yeonjun.park@samsung.com (Miss PARK YEON JUN) and you will receive licence key. Copy this key to USB device and connect to computer whenever you use UD Control Node.
Software Installation Control Node After installation of Control Node, replace the following files: TileViewer.exe, Copy to C:\Program Files\Samsung\UD Controller\bin\build GUI.jar, Copy to C:\Program Files\UD Controller Display Node (not required if downloaded image used) Replace TileViewer.exe, C:\Program Files\Samsung\TileViewer\bin\build
Software Settings Select settings tab and configure storage location for content on Control Node and Display Node. Select IP address range (support tab when right click network connection). Select size of video wall based on your configuration.
Displaying Control Node Content After correct configuration, array with single start up image will be observed. Next import JPEG images and MOV files. These can be displayed by clicking ‘Show Selected’. Content is mode holding left mouse click. Content is resized holding right mouse click.
Displaying Steam Server Content (WMV) Stream server will automatically connect to Control Node. File open, and select WMV file to stream. Click show selected on control node and freely move and resize.
Displaying Steam Server Content (Capture Card) Select Capture Device, list of installed capture card along with supported streaming resolution will be displayed.
Displaying Screen Sender Content Screen send will automatically connect to Control Node. Contents of screen will be transmitted to Display Nodes. Note, only basic viewing of documents supported (i.e. no movie content).
Notes A combination of Screen Sender and Screen Streamer can be used up to a maximum of 125. Exit options of Samsung UD: Start MagicInfo - this is the preferred method as MagicInfo can be used to start UD. Quite Samsung UD – This will close client to desktop. Caution, will need to connect mouse to re-start UD or MagicInfo. Shutdown Display Wall – This will switch off client monitor. Caution, make sure Energy Saving option is off in order to WOL using Magic Info. Please use latest version of MagicInfo (2505), program and patch: http://www.box.net/shared/u43afgg2r6 Please also update client version, copy update DIR to C:\Program Files\SEC\MagicInfo Pro.
