  1. Temperament • This is a combination of inborn traits that subconsciously influence our behaviour. It influences everything we do from sleeping, eating habits, how we get along with people , how we work and pray etc.

  2. PERSONALITY • This represents those characteristics of a person that account for consistent patterns of feelings, thinking and behaving.

  3. YOU ARE SPECIAL You really are! In all the world, there’s nobody like you. There never has been, not since the beginning of time. Nobody has your smile. Nobody has your eyes. Your nose, your hair, your hands, your voice. You are Special!

  4. No one can be found who has your handwriting. Nobody anywhere has your tastes in food or music or art. No one sees things just the way you do. In all of time , there’s been no one who laughs just like you. No one who cries like you, and no one who reacts to situations exactly like you do. You are Special!

  5. You are the only one in all of creation, who has your set of abilities. Sure, they’ll always be someone who’s better at one of the things. you’re good at but no one in the universe has your unique combination of talents, ideas, skills and feelings. You’re like a room full of musical instruments. all being played together, You’re a symphony.

  6. YOU ARE RARE • No one else through all eternity will ever look, talk,walk, think, or do the way you do, You’re Special! You’re rare. And like anything that’s rare, you have great value. That’s why you don’t need to copy others. You can accept and yes, celebrate – your differences!

  10. AS WORKERS • Volunteer for jobs • Look great on the surface • Creative • Inspire others • Charms others to work • Think up new activities • Energetic and enthusiastic

  12. Sanguines / Expressives Weaknesses • In disciplined and lack of self control • Disorganised • Exaggerate • Unstable emotionally • Unproductive • Egocentric • Insecure • Fear rejection and disapproval • Poor listeners • Can easily forget friends and important appointments

  13. Sanguines and Prayer • Psalms 32:11: “Rejoice and be happy in the Lord.” • They struggle with structure and disciplined prayer times • Their prayer life can be both sporadic and constant. • They constantly talk to God and can easily trust him. • Others don’t find them very spiritual.

  14. A little lashing at Sanguines • Who said you must be talking all the time? • Who tells you that you have no faults? • Get the hint, you may be boring…. • Condense your comments, Get to the point. • Stop exaggerating • Be sensitive to other peoples interests

  18. AS FRIENDS • Makes friends cautiously • Faithful and devoted • Content to stay in the background • Avoid causing attention • Will listen to complaints • Can solve other peoples problems • Deep concern for others • Moved to tears with compassion • Seeks ideal mate (Which they never find)

MELANCHOLY AS A WORKER • Schedule oriented • Perfectionist, high standards • Detail conscious • Persistent and thorough • Orderly and organized • Neat and tidy • Economical • Sees the problems • Finds creative solutions • Needs to finish what is started • Likes Charts, graphs, figures and lists.

  29. PHLEGMATICS Strengths • Diplomats by nature who will do anything to avoid confrontation. Dependable in getting things done. • Neat, efficient and have high standards of accuracy and precision. • Don’t make sudden decisions. • Accomplish tasks with the least effort • MOTTO:LETS DO IT THE EASY WAY!!

  30. Phlegmatics……… • Calm and Dependable • Easy going and Diplomatic • Never get upset , Efficient and organized • Easy to get along with • By nature most likeable temperament • Well balanced PeacemakersMotto: Lets do things the easy way!

He could have made us all choleric We would have been set to lead, but impatient that no one would follow! He could have made us all Phlegmatic would have had a peaceful world but not much enthusiasm for life. We need each temperament for the total function of the body. Each part should do its work to unify the action and produce harmonious results.

  35. PERSONALITY AND EATING HABITS Sanguines:Eat everything in sight, in hotel they enjoy talking and don’t look at the Menu till waiter arrives. Cholerics:Rarely vary menu, talk while chewing. Big appetites Melancholies:Picky eaters, takes them forever to make up their mind what to order Phlegmatics: Most deliberate eaters but usually the last ones to finish eating.

  36. TEMPERAMENT AND SHOPPING • Sanguine: Not price conscious, select for visual satisfaction, drawn by colourful packaging and advertising. Usually have a full trolley in a supermarket. Regret why they bought some things later. • CHOLERICS:Men are not usually fond of shopping, only go to supermarket to buy what they need and get out, like sanguine they overbuy sometimes.

Melancholies • They are deliberate and decisive shoppers, they compare price and quality carefully,try on an item twice,leave the shop twice or so, they know where everything is in a supermarket, they keep all receipts,they create traffic in the supermarket trying to make up their mind between two brands of tomato sauce.

  38. Phlegmatics • Women enjoy shopping, they take longer and shop slower, very indecisive,have to shop more frequently because they don’t buy everything on the first trip.

  39. Vocations where Sanguines excel • Teaching Politics • Counselling Journalism • Sales and marketing • Any helping professions • Actors and entertainment • Preaching • Public relations • Any people oriented professions

Careers for melancholies • Those that need analytical skills • Accounting,medicine,dentistry • Architecture • IT Engineers • Art, Music, Philosophy • Creative arts, Graphic design • High quality craftsmen e.g. carpenters,authors,mechanics,tailors • Any career that provides meaningful service to humanity

  41. Cholerics and careers • Any profession that requires leadership • Business • Civil engineering • Entrepreneurship • Sales • Military service • Politics • Any work that requires industry, production, hard work and activity
