  2. What might we learn about American History from primary sources? Determine what you see and what questions you might ask to get the big picture.

  3. Describe the expressions of the faces that you see. What is the tone of the setting?

  4. What new people appeared? Any new expressions?

  5. What new things appeared?

  6. Make an educated guess as to where and when this meeting occurred. What evidence lead to your conclusion? Explain your ideas.

  7. Who do you think is present in the picture?
