Tolbert Jr. Elementary School Phase 2 Schools (Beginning 2019-2020) • Algonkian Elementary School (4th grade) • Belmont Station Elementary School (4th grade) • Creighton’s Corner Elementary School • Emerick Elementary School • Evergreen Mill Elementary School (4th grade) • Moorefield Station Elementary School • Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School (4th grade) • Sugarland Elementary School (4th grade)

  5. goals • providing instructional time for gifted learners to interact with their academic and age-level peers, as well as providing time for them to work independently • challenging students with curricula developed for gifted learners • offering professional development for teachers in best practices in gifted education • partnering classroom teachers with gifted resource teachers to collaboratively deliver an appropriately differentiated curriculum

What are the characteristics and skills of a leader? • What does being a leader mean to you? • How can you demonstrate leadership in a supporting role? • Why might leaders need to be innovative? Enduring Understandings • Each person has his/her own leadership style. • Leadership actions of all sizes can have significant impact. • Leadership requires communication, collaboration, making connections, creativity and innovation, and critical thinking and problem solving.  • Leadership can be demonstrated by people in supporting roles.
