AMELIAEARHART • Was an American aviation (flight)pioneer and author. • She is known for being the first female pilot to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
SANDRA DAY O’CONNER • Was nominated and confirmed in 1981 by President Ronald Reagan to become the first woman ever appointed to the Supreme Court of the United States. • After her unanimous confirmation by the Senate, O'Connor served for 25 years before retiring in 2006.
ROSA PARKS • A civil rights activist who refused to surrender her seat to a white passenger on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama. • As a leader of the civil rights movement, Rosa Parks received many awards during her lifetime, including the NAACP's highest award.
SALLYRIDE • Became the first American woman and also the youngest American to fly into space on June 18, 1983, on the Space Shuttle Challenger. • She earned her Bachelor's degrees in Physics and English from Stanford University in California. Then she went on to earn a master and a Ph.D. in astophysics. • She has a spot on the Moon named after her.
HILLARYRODHAMCLINTON • Served as secretary of state, the first female senator from New York, first lady of the United States, first lady of Arkansas, a practicing lawyer and law professor, activist, and volunteer. • Born in Chicago, Illinois, graduated from Wellesley College and earned her law degree from Yale Law School. • In 2016 she became the first woman to be nominated by the Democratic party to run for President of the United States.

BEYONCÉ • Born Beyoncé Giselle Knowles, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, record producer and dancer. • Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Beyoncé performed in various singing and dancing competitions as a child. • She rose to fame in the late 1990s as lead singer of the R&B girl-group Destiny's Child. She is considered one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
