  1. Accommodation • The approximate cost of a shared room for a semester is £400 • The approximate cost of a single room for a semester is £600 • Shared kitchen.

Classes and Teaching Style • Classes I took: • Global HRM • Staff Relations and Grievance Handling • Service Quality Management • Resource Allocation Techniques • Classes mainly consisted of one 3hr lecture per week, and were assessed through class participation, individual/group assignment, group presentation and final exam. • Pass or Fail

  3. Experiences • I travelled to the Philippines, Singapore and a few places in Mainland China. Although others had been to South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia. • HK is famous for it’s nightlife in LanKwai Fong and its night markets on Temple Street. It is a city that never sleeps!

  4. Neil Hood Memorial Fund • The Neil Hood Fund is designed to encourage an international outlook amongst students and to give students an advantage in the job market. • The fund helped me with flights to Hong Kong, my travelling expenses to other countries and my day-to-day living costs. • With the help of the Neil Hood Memorial Fund I was able to experience a culture that I never thought I would have a chance of seeing. It would not have been possible for me to experience the fascinating and diverse culture as I did without the assistance of the Neil Hood Memorial Fund! • Having an exchange abroad is something that looks great on a CV and people are always willing to hear about your experiences!

  5. The Neil Hood Memorial Fund Application Process • It takes into consideration your academic ability. • An academic reference. • It is based on financial need. • You will also need a statement of support- what qualities make you an outstanding applicant!
