E-content Generation for Vocational Education Programs and Conversion to Regional LanguagesDETAILED PROJECT REPORT OBJECTIVES • To make the deliveries of the project to reach the remote areas in the country and help weaker sections, tribals and women to earn their livelihood. • To boost women empowerment programme of the Government. • To support the policy of the Institute to offer vocational education on a no-profit basis. • To convert the vocational program into Regional Languages and facilitate maximum participation of the candidates and make them to earn their livelihood. • To enhance the socio-economical status and knowledge base of an individual. • To promote scientific temper and train a person in practical technology to make one better suited to the increasingly technologically oriented environment • To develop the faculties of thinking, analysis and reason and a habit of learning in an individual
E-content Generation for Vocational Education Programs and Conversion to Regional LanguagesDETAILED PROJECT REPORT METHODOLOGY The courses developed at Dayalbagh Educational Institute under NMEICT will cover all four quadrants of the teaching–learning process that include: • Generation of high quality video content that consists of not only the classroom scenario but also integrates footage that is relevant to the topic. • A supporting website with resources and e-learning tools, allowing students to experiment and learn at their own pace. • A course wiki and discussion forum that not only contains updations and enhancements but also facilitates discussions with peers and subject experts. • A messaging service through which the student can interact with the instructor online or offline. This messaging service is supplemented with video conferencing wherever the network bandwidth permits.

Time Schedule 2009 - 2010 Certificate Program in Textile Designing and Printing • Duration: 2 Semesters • Number of Courses: 10 • The emphasis is placed on imparting practical knowledge and experience. The teaching is divided into around 60% to 80% practical component. Student learn the basics of textiles and is given hands-on experience to develop designs and understand the process to produce the variety of printed textiles.
Time Schedule 2010-2011 Certificate Program in Motor Vehicle Mechanic: Four Wheeler • Duration: 2 terms • Number of Courses: 10 • This program imparts adequate technical skills to a candidate enabling him to work in an automobile workshop and later set up his own Four Wheeler repair workshop. The curriculum covers the latest technology in the area viz., use of computerized gas analyzer, wheel-balancing, MPFI engines.
Time Schedule 2010 - 2011 Certificate Program in Wireman • Duration: 2 Semesters • Number of Courses: 10 • This program provides practical skills as well as theoretical background so that the candidate can work easily on domestic and industrial wiring circuits and appliances.
Time Schedule 2010 - 2011 Certificate Program in Electrician • Duration: 2 Semesters • Number of Courses: 10 • This program provides practical skills as well as theoretical background so that the candidate can work easily as Electrician with special emphasis on domestic and industrial electrical appliances.
Time Schedule 2010 - 2011 Certificate Program in Textile Technology • Duration: 2 Semesters • Number of Courses: 10 • This program provides practical skills as well as theoretical background of manufacturing the textiles and the related technology. In India, about 45% of the textile production takes place on handloom / power-loom in the unorganized sector. In this sector, mostly women and people from weaker section and minorities work. The curriculum of the program strengthens the knowledge base of the candidates while introducing the candidates to the state-of-the-art techniques of textile production and supporting activities.
Time Schedule 2011 - 2012 Certificate Program in Dress Designing and Tailoring • Duration: 2 Semesters • Number of Courses: 10 • DEI wish to launch this program under NMEICT primarily meant for girl students who could not continue with further studies either due to economic condition or other constraints. It aimed at making female candidates self-supporting at an early age by giving them adequate technical skills to be able to work in an Export house or garment manufacturing unit and later set up their own Fashion Merchandising or boutique.
Time Schedule 2011 - 2012 Certificate Program in Pre-school Teachers’ Training • Duration: 2 Semesters • Number of Courses: 10 • This program provides practical skills as well as theoretical background so that the candidate can motivate and attract the children by adopting learn while you play principle.
Time Schedule 2011 - 2012 Certificate Program in Welder • Duration: 2 Semesters • Number of Courses: 10 • Burgeoning construction work across the nation need skilled welders. The curriculum includes imparting of knowledge about different types of welding techniques and a number of training sessions to provide practical skills to the candidate.
Time Schedule 2011 - 2012 Certificate Program in Modern Office Management and Secretarial Practice • Duration: 2 Semesters • Number of Courses: 10 • The program structure and curriculum have been created to include the state-of-the art technologies used in the management of modern office and secretarial practice. India being developing country, the curriculum has more emphasis on state-of-the art technologies while transforming the skills from conventional to modern. This facilitates the candidate to work even in the conventional environment and strive to transform it in to a modern office.
Justification of the Projection about outcomes The following outcomes of the project will contribute to the mission objectives having vision to cater a large portion of 50 crore Working population of India: • Any time availability of desired knowledge at appropriate levels of comprehension to all for self-paced learning. • Platform for sharing of ideas and techniques and pooling of knowledge resources. • Systematically building a huge database of the capabilities of every individual human resource over a period of time. • Effective utilization of intellectual resources, minimizing wastage of time in scouting for opportunities or desired items of knowledge appropriate to the requirement • Use e-learning as an effort multiplier for providing access, quality and equality in the sphere of providing education to every learner in the country. • Support to all the learners/workers for any of their perceived learning needs. • Creating infrastructural facilities for long term utilization and making sustained efforts for content generation and connectivity including access devices production. • Providing e-books to the learner. • Improving teachers training and course curriculum. • Multilingual content development for the learners more comfortable in regional languages. • Spreading digital literacy for teacher empowerment and encouraging teachers to be available on the net to guide the learners. • Establishment of e-library in the institute for learners and teachers.
