Yaz Lawsuit
Yaz is a contraceptive designed to reduce ovulation. The drug has been marketed toward women through lengthy commercials that aired during women’s programming. Yaz’s active ingredient is drospirenone, a synthetic hormone that inhibits ovulation. However, birth control that contains drospirenone can also increase potassium levels in the body to dangerously high levels. Some side effects include migraine, vomiting, breast pain, and leg pain. The hormone can also cause shortness of breath, blindness, chest pain, and numbness in legs or arms.
