Overview – Connection Issue with Windows 7 Issue: When connecting a HVR-MRC1K (In computer mode) via i.LINK to a Windows7 PC, the device is not recognised. Resolution: • Change the driver software of the Windows7 IEEE1394 host controller to a legacy driver. • The detailed procedure is outlined in this document.
Procedure Open the Device Manager on your PC.Right Click on “1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller” Select “Update Driver” from the menu At the driver software update window, select “Browse my computer for driver software” *The captured images are in Japanese
Procedure Select “Let me pick from a list” Choose “1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy)” and click “Next” *The captured images are in Japanese
Procedure Close the window and reboot your PC *The captured images are in Japanese
