  3. European Union – POLITICAL BEFORE THE EU • Countries were at war because of nationalism • Nationalism – extreme pride in one’s own country Clip Questions: A. How does soccer symbolize nationalism? B. How can Europe bring its people together?

  5. EU DBQ • DBQ = Document Based Question • There are 8 documents • Each document has two questions. • You will use the DBQ and your notes to write the Europe Essay tomorrow. • You must refer to the articles in your Essay.

  6. DBQ Directions • Part A – You must complete the questions for documents 1-3. • Part B – You may choose 2 out of the other 5 documents to answer the questions.

Follow Test-taking Procedure • Conversation: Must remain silent, if you talk I have to assume you’re cheating. • Help: If you have a question raise a hand, we will come to you. • Activity: • Part A: Answering questions for documents 1-3. • Part B: Completing 2 more documents out of the other 5
