Mobility without Rich Data is just a Toy!.
E N D
Mobility without Rich Data is just a Toy! When WRIT decided to roll out mobile technology to its leasing reps and senior execs, it knew that the solution had to have deep, rich data if it was to become well adopted. The WRIT solution combines JDE and SalesForce data with documents stored on SharePoint, and delivers them on the iPad using Planimetron’s Propidex technology. Interactive stacks and floorplans with current leases and deals in progress, photos, documents and all available in a single integrated environment. Find out the trials and tribulations, pros and cons as well as the feedback we are getting from the WRIT users from Harold Smarr, Director of Business Application Development (WRIT ) and Annette Wilde (Planimetron).

The Immediate Need • 2013 ICSC REConConference in May • Business made request in March • Retail Division wanted a marketing tool to present property level information about its shopping centers in an easy to use, sleek tool. • The scope expanded to having rent roll and other analytical information available to them if needed. • Search for vendors
Why the iPAD? • Existing inventory with users • User preference • Maas360 for mobile manage • Security • Rollout mechanism • Implementation of PropidexMobile
What needed Doing • Pictures, pictures, pictures • Floor plans • Tenant logos • Data selection (themes, lease information) • Documents (marketing presentation)
Propidex Implementation • Fairly straight forward since full version of Propidex data had already been in production and vetted. • Application was prebuilt, so design decisions limited to selection predefined themes and views. • Selection of photos and marketing documents to include.
User Feedback • Application was easy to use. • Of the companies they directly interacted with, they were the only ones with a ‘cool’ app. • The app is still in use for future events and meetings. • Came back with many different ways to enhance the app.
What We are Doing Now • Office portfolio • Stacks • Availability • Encumbrances (Next Steps?)
Next Steps • Personnel Information • Property Assignments • Adding context to the data • Who is the property managers • Link to email/phone • Phone version/ipad version • Integration with Sharepoint • Financial reports
