Office 2003 to Office 2007 Transition Microsoft Access 2007
What’s New? • New GUI groups commands better • Better access to templates • Tabbed documents • Enhanced sorting and filtering • Improved layout view and automatic sizing • Better date controls • Rich text in memos
What’s New? • Totaling row in datasheets • Field templates • Field List task pane • Split forms • Multivalued fields • Better attachments • Navigation Pane • Save to PDF (with download) and XPS
Add-Ins • Only visible if applications are added that enhance application, for example, Adobe Acrobat
Objects Pane • Displays object by type • Recommend selecting “All Access Objects”
Status Bar (left) Currently selected View
Status Bar (right) Views buttons mimic first button on Home Ribbon Lock indicators Window corner for resizing
Notes • Most challenging transition to new GUI, but it works! • Better template integration with other Office applications • Design View shows field names and grids. Layout View allows manipulation of design while showing results, more WYSIWYG. • I can’t find… Try the Create Ribbon.
