Who are we? • Team Purpose: • Address issues within bridge and structural engineering related to project delivery • Strengthen coordination and collaboration • Propose revisions and peer review of WSDOT design & construction standards • Propose revisions to bridge and structures aspects of D/B Delivery

  4. Who are we? (continued) • Team Vision: • Promote cost-effective, constructible, quality projects • Share best practices, lessons learned and new engineering • Establish design guidelines for all delivery methods • Enhance understanding of WSDOT and consultant business • Promote innovation

  5. 2010-2011 Highlights • Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC): • Professor John Stanton, U of W & Grad Students • Peer Review of WSDOT Documentation: • Proposed BDM Chapter on Segmental Bridge Constr • Proposed BDM Chapter on ABC • WSF Terminal Structural Design Criteria • Load Distribution on 100” girders • Seismic Design • Write a policy statement on balanced stiffness for D/B
