  2. “ABC” is a voluntary organization initiated in 1948 and is presently operating in different parts of the world. • It certifies and audits the circulations of major publications, including newspapers and magazines in India. • The Publisher should be a Member of Indian Newspaper Society (INS) and the Publications should be registered with Registrar of Newspapers for India (RNI).

  3. The Bureau certifies audited Net Paid circulation figures of publications enrolled with it for a continuous and definite six-monthly audit periods. It supplies copies of the ABC Certificates issued for such publications to each member. Such records are checked and facts and figures are calculated by impartial auditors, only then the certificate of net paid circulation is issued.

  4. ABC is a private body whose members are 252 regional and national publishers and 208 leading advertisers, news agencies and advertising agencies. • It surveys the circulation of publications in English, Hindi, and 12 regional languages. • It carries out circulation survey on a regular basis and issues “certificate of Net Paid Circulation” every six months.

  5. The benefit of ABC certificates of circulation have been availed by advertisers, advertising agencies, publishers and organizations connected with print media advertising.
