  3. Plié • Bending of the knees

  4. Tendu • Stretched tendon; to brush the foot on the floor

  5. Passé • A position when a foot is placed near or on the other knee

  6. Parallel • two lines in a plane that do not intersect or touch at a point

  7. Turn-out • An equal outward rotation of both legs that begins at the hips.
