Responsibilities • Improving current employment, career and professional development products and services. • Assisting local sections in providing assistance and information to unemployed members • Develop effective materials and presentations to enhance employers' awareness • Studying and communicating successful career development strategies for engineers • Provide support for employment services • Provide support for career development • Improve awareness of financial benefits
2006 Accomplishments • Provided Workshops on the following topics • Project Management • Resume and Job Interview • PACE Leadership • Developed Media containing several ECS and CWPC modules and made them available to local Sections • Organized a CWPC workshop in Region 4 (Detroit, June 2006) • Job fair (Lawrence Tech, November 2006)
Plan for 2007 • Promote the IEEE ECS web template for local sections • Promote IEEE-USA products and services developed by the ECS and CWPC committees • Promote Workshops and use of the IEEE MPAC and SPAC Speaker lists • Contribute to the EIT 2007 • Promote ECS Webinars http://www.ieeeusa.org/careers/Webinars/default.asp
