Isle of Anglesey Rural Families, Llangefni • In 2010, ran 2 Basic and 3 Toddler programmes • Toddler ran in F/S areas whilst Basic ran in Cymorth areas • Areas included: • Amlwch • Llangefni • Holyhead • Newborough • Running intervention group for IY Baby programme evaluation • In 2011, aim to run 2 Basic and 3 Toddler in same areas. One of the Toddler groups will be a control group for the IY Baby programme evaluation

St Mary’s School, Holyhead • School Readiness programme ran in Sept 09 and Sept 10 • Basic programme ran in Jan 09 and Oct 10 • Ran a control group for the IY School Readiness evaluation • In 2011, aim to continue to deliver both School Readiness and Basic programmes. • Aim to deliver the School-aged programme (8-14 years)

  4. Gwynedd • TCM and Classroom Dina in every primary school • Nine schools currently delivering small group Dina to high challenge children – lottery research • Increased number primary school staff accessing Basic leader training • Trained parent leaders in 6 schools: Glancegin, Bethel, Abercaseg, Pen y Bryn, Bethesda, Cymerau, Bro Lleu • Baby, Toddler, and School Readiness programmes regularly run in Flying Start areas • Running intervention groups for IY Baby programme evaluation (Caernarfon, BlaenauFfestiniog, Dolgellau & Bangor) • Running intervention & control groups for IY School Readiness evaluation

Caban Bach, Blaenau Ffestiniog • In 2010, ran 3 Basic programmes (Bala, Trawsfynydd, Blaenau for nursery staff) • 4 Toddler groups (2 Blaenau, Dolgellau, Porthmadog) • 2 School Readiness (Ysgol Maenofferen, Blaenau) • Running intervention group for IY Baby programme evaluation • Ran 2 intervention groups for IY School Readiness evaluation (Manod & Maenofferen) • In 2011, aim to continue to deliver programmes but want to concentrate primarily on Meirionnydd area

  6. CAMHS, Bangor • School-aged programme rolled-out 3 times a year (Tier 3) • Advanced programme delivered once a year (Tier 3) • Basic programme run in LlanfairPG school (Tier 1) • School-aged programme ran in Holyhead Highschool (year 7 pupils aged 11-12 years) • Basic leader training available in-house 3 times a year • Delivered Baby, School Readiness, and both Basic programmes (old and new 3-6 years) • In 2011, hope to deliver 2 School-aged programmes in CAMHS (Tier 3)

  7. Flintshire • Baby & Toddler programmes run in Flying Start areas • Piloted School Readiness programme and more Flying Start teachers trained • Piloted TCM programme (currently evaluating effectiveness but lots of positive feedback) • Children’s Services have run Basic and Advanced programmes • Therapeutic Dina programme ran last year with positive feedback • Piloted Basic programme with ADHD children in CAMHS (Tier 3)

  8. Wrexham • IY programmes run through a variety of teams including Child Health Teams, Family Centres, Educational Psychology Teams • Both IY Baby & Toddler programmes run in Flying Start areas • In 2011, want to run IY School-aged programme (Educational Psychology team) • Continue with both IY Baby & Toddler in Flying Start areas • IY Basic programme to be run through Family Centres in partnership with the Parenting Team and Caia Park Early Years Forum

  9. Conwy & Denbighshire • Continue to offer parenting through Flying Start • Contributing to baby programme research (Colwyn Bay) • Trialed the parent programme in CAMHS with ASD children (article on IY website) • Plans to introduce school readiness parent programme through schools
