  2. About St. Patrick’s Day • St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated each year on March 17th. • We celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in honor of Saint Patrick who died on March 17, 461. • Saint Patrick was important because he established 300 churches in Ireland and increased the popularity of Christianity.
