TCA Architects, a local firm in Los Angeles and one of the sustainable design companies in the world, has designed the first ever net-zero residential space in the city, the Hanover Olympic building. This structure is composed of 263 solar-powered apartment units. It is built with sustainable materials like reclaimed wood and recycled glass. Hanover Olympic building is situated in the South Park district, Los Angeles.
Bureau SLA, a Dutch architecture firm in Amsterdam had designed a net-zero energy Environmental Learning Center building. The structure was built with a Trombe cooling and heating system and with highly visible solar panels.
