  4. HEAT EXHAUSTION • SIGNS • Profuse (too much) sweating • Body feels weak • Pale • Nausea (vomit) • Lightheaded (dizzy)

  5. HEAT EXHAUSTION • Treatment • Rest for at 30 minutes • Get into a cool environment • Drink fluids

  6. HEAT STROKE • SIGNS • High body temperature > 105d • Hot, dry skin • Very rapid heartbeat • Victim will probably be unconscious

  7. HEAT STROKE • TREATMENT • Wet the clothing with water not ice • Get out of the hot environment • Get medical attention
