  1. Here is what seven dermatologists and skin care pros had to say. 1. Protect your skin from sunlight. While sitting out from the warm sunshine during Sunday brunch might appear and feel benign,"those UV [rays] are now causing long-term skin harm," based on Tsippora Shainhouse, MD, FAAD, a naturopathic dermatologist in Beverly Hills and a clinical instructor in the University of Southern California. "Not only can they damage cells, which can trigger the growth of skin cancers, but they violate structural collagen in the gut, which leads to rapid and permanent skin aging, including wrinkles, brown spots, broken vessels and changes in skin feel." Dr. Shainhouse's best advice would be to"limit direct sunlight during peak sun hours (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and never use a tanning bed! Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30+ to exposed skin each and every day and use protective clothing to maintain UV rays from skin" Try The Organic Pharmacy's Cellular Protection Sun Cream SPF 30, a mineral sunscreen which nourishes skin also protects from both UVA and UVB rays. 2. Pair your everyday sunscreen with an antioxidant. While we now understand that using sunscreen on a daily basis is a must for the overall skincare, Ashli Carnicelli, a Medical Aesthetician in Raleigh, NC, says that another wonderful way to safeguard your skin from premature aging would be to add"a concentrated vitamin C serum." While it can not replace SPF, vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that provides extra protection against the skin-aging effects of the sun. Carnicelli also highlights to"be sure that you apply the vitamin C to wash skin and permit it to dry for 5 minutes before applying angeletta cream review serums, moisturizers and SPF." You can (and should) still moisturize in case you have acne-prone or greasy skin. Getting yourself to regularly moisturize can feel daunting if you struggle with acne or have greasy skin. However, Stanley Kovak, MD, of Kovak Dermatology & Laser Surgery claims that exfoliating and hydrating your skin is beneficial to all skin types. "If you're acne-prone, it's best to utilize non-metallic products that will not clog your pores," says Dr. Kovak. "The reality is that dry skin finally causes inflammation and increased oil production which can lead to more acne. Hydrated skin is essential to controlling acne and keeping a fresh, radiant complexion." Do not overload your skin with goods. As we mentioned previously, it looks like every day a new product is put on the market claiming to have the magical ingredient for flawless skin. But when does one more merchandise become too many? According to Simona Mazenyte, a certified skin therapist along with the co-founder of Skin Care Aspirations at London,"Product overload may cause irritation, particularly when high concentrations are applied to a small area." Though it's tempting to pile treatments to decrease all our worries at once, Mazenyte warns that"we might put on larger amounts than needed and apply them too often. We think this approach will help make the skin look much better faster, but that is simply not the case."

  2. Rash or itchy skin? Wash more, moisturize more. It is hard to imagine washing your face too much may be harmful to your skin however Jennifer Winter, PA-C in Dermatology and Allergy Experts of Olympia advises,"If you have a rash or are itchy, don't wash more. If people have a rash they frequently feel dirty, like they did not wash or something which caused the rash. Itching is often enhanced when in the shower and also the back brush feels great when scrubbing, but soap and cleansers can produce the rash and itch worse. Use soap or cleanser, and in certain instances no cleaner at all." Fight breakouts with a nutritious diet. When it comes to fighting acne off, one of the greatest things you could do is to reexamine your diet. Esthetician and acne specialist Barbara Jackson advises,"There are lots of foods that may increase oil production and trigger acne breakouts. Eat more fruits and vegetables and try to avoid fast foods, dairy and sugar." While fast and sugar foods are apparent culprits, dairy might surprise you as a contributor to poor skin health. Most of us have some trouble digesting dairy, which may result in surplus oil, clogged pores and other skin problems. Check out some of the finest healthy foods for great skin, in accordance with dermatologist Dr. Ava Shamban. 7. Exfoliate regularly. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate (although not too frequently ). "More specifically, glycolic exfoliation is the key to smoother skin because glycolic removes the dulling and clogging dead cells that cause skin to become demanding. Rough textured skin can't glow because of rough surface scatters and absorbs light, making it appear dull, matte and exhausted. Smooth skin reflects light, and that's why glycolic is so effective at improving the look of your skin in every season."
