  1. Technology for biodiesel production from crude or waste vegetable oils INCDO-INOE 2000ICIA Cluj-Napoca Romania

  2. Short description of the technology Biodiesel production unit (pilot): Ambient temperature: 15-40 °CSurface: 6 x 4 mHeight: 4.5 m (min)Power: 380 V, 22 kWBatch: 300 L biodieselCatalyst: KOHor sulphuric acidBiodiesel: Input: 1076 L crude vegetable oil (plus other input materials) Output: 1000 L biodiesel Complies with EN 14214requirements

  3. Applicability of the technologyin Kazakhstan Technology can be applied in small and medium farms (for oleaginous plant production), in urban SMEs(waste oil collection and, biodiesel or glycerol users) Testing was performed by ICIA and technology it’s currently applied by Reviva (local company). Patent is pending. Its main novelty: a shorter batch time (compared to other similar technologies), due to an optimized washing step. Main benefits: it provides a regenerative and biodegradable fuel, that doesn’t contribute to greenhouse effect. A potential partner is any company dealing with fuel production or with vegetable oil production or wastecollection.
