Do you agree that this describes the place of comedy in Arcadia? • Arcadia is a traditional comedy despite its postmodern trickery. Is this true? • Stoppard described Arcadia as a ‘romantic tragedy with jokes’. To what extent do you agree with him? • ‘Romantic comedy tells the story of a beautiful and often idealised heroine, meeting a man.
