2. James Patterson • Born in New York City, on March 22, 1947 • He studied English at Manhattan College and published his first novel The Thomas Berryman Number in 1976. • James Patterson was the CEO of the advertising agency J. Walter Thompson until the late 1990s.

3. Protagonist • Max • Because she is the leader of the flock • She is a good example and is obedient • She is very positive when something goes wrong

4. Antagonist • Fang is the antagonist because he is always going against what Max is trying to do for the flock

5. Favorite Character • Iggy is my favorite character because he is very sarcastic and the things he says are super funny. • He is happy to be who he is and doesn’t let things get in the way.

6. Least Favorite Character • Total is my least favorite because it’s a talking dog and I think that is dumb • He also is annoying in the book.

7. Exposition • They are sent to a Government meeting to be put in a school for just the flock and they decline the offer • The kids start developing other powers that were not programmed • Dr. Martinez(mom) has them meet with this lady that introduces them to a team of environmentalist in Antarctica

8. Rising Action • They go to Antarctica with a team of environmentalists studying the effects of global warming • A member of the research ship is attacked by a Leopard Seal and killed. • The flock discovers that she was a spy sending information from the vessel.

9. Climax • Angel falls down a crevasse but is soon rescued by Fang and Max, who are in turn captured by Gozen. • The rest of the flock was also captured and they are taken to Miami, which has been evacuated because of a Category 5 hurricane that is about to hit.

10. Falling Action • They meet the Uber-Director (or "UD"), who attempts to auction them off to worldwide bidders, but the building they are in is destroyed by the Category 5 hurricane. • Gozen and the UD are both destroyed, but the rest of the Flock survive

11. Resolution • Max stands before Congress in Washington, D.C. pleading for the planet to change its ways. • The flock is given a comfy life and a School dedicated to them. • The Voice inside Max's head speaks up and tells them that their mission is not over.
