  5. Corrosion prone areas

  6. Our Key Objective Provide corrosion protection on an ongoing basis to Railway Coaches at the manufacturing stage. Ensure significant savings, enhance coach life and reduce maintenance cost. Protect Tracks from corrosion to build durability and increase life . Reduce cost of repairs at Corrosion repair workshops.

  7. Our Solutions to cavity corrosion Waxoyl Professional 120-4 for Cavity Protection to prevent inside out corrosion

  8. WAXOYL Professional 120-4 - Cavity Protector • Spray action penetrates smallest of cavities • Extends coach life, inhibits further rust • Fogging system - Simplest, most goof proof method • Less time consuming • Human errors using unskilled labours reduced to the max. • Flexible with excellent penetrating charatecteristics to ensure corrosion protection between metal panels and cavities • High and Low temperature stability.

  9. Cavity Protection

  10. Cavity Protection Benefits Continues….

  11. Cavity Protection Benefits Continues…. Ensures penetration into critical cavity areas which are difficult to reach by products with high viscosity. Water seeping has manifested in this rusty seam. Damage inside is much more. Only low viscosity products with outstanding pentrant can cure this critical problems.

  12. Cavity Protection Benefits Continues….

  13. Our Beginning with ICF • 5 coaches were selected and treated with Waxoyl Professional 120-4 • to combat corrosion in the corrosion prone areas: • SWR 03407 • ER 03711 • SR 03219 • SCR 03152 • ER 03151

  14. Highlights of Joint Test Report at ICF • Corrosion Test : 03 panels were kept for corrosion test and after removing the coating leaving the marginal zones, No corrosion observed in the test panels. Test conducted for more than 500 hours. • Heat Resistance Test – 70 Deg, 90 Deg and 120 Deg: The Waxoyl Prof 120-4 treated Panel no 4 kept for heat resistance test for 70 deg c at 45 deg slanting position for 20 minutes. Observed no sagging or dripping during the test and the coating was found to be intact. • Again test continued at 120 deg centigrade in same slanting  position. Panel kept at the heat chamber from 12.35 to 1.25 nearly an hour andobserved no sagging or dripping and the coating found to be intact.

  15. Highlights of Joint Test Report at ICF • Panel No. 2 has been tested in vertical hanging position with a steel rope to find out sagging or dripping at 90 Deg c for 20 minutes. It is observed No sagging or dripping • Heat resistance test in vertical hanging position at 120 Deg C: Panel no 5 is weighed and put into 120 deg heat resistance test. No sagging and dripping observed during vertical hanging heat resistance test at 120 DegC. Highlights the product can withstand heat in vertical hanging position also. • No weight loss observed on the treated panels during the test. • Outdoor natural exposure test was conducted on the coated panel to find withstand ability of natural exposure of the coating and panel is exposed to the one day rain and 21 days of heat and cold and other natural elements. Found no deterioration, corrosion and sagging during the period of testing. • Water seepage effect was conducted and the coated panel was kept below a free flowing water and found no deterioration and change in the coated panel.

  16. Highlights of Joint Inspection Report at ICF

  17. Highlights of Joint Inspection Report at ICF • Treated areas found to be absolutely intact with no corrosion observed including Lavatory areas at the time PoH. • Side wall below window level, End wall below window level, Lavatory areas, Floor areas, Conditions of the welding joints have been inspected and no corrosion observed. • Welding joint, Lavatory areas inspection also does not indicate any signs of corrosion or corrosion spots. • Waxoyl coating found to be intact with no sagging. • No corrosion observed in all the areas coated with Waxoyl professional 120-4.

  18. Quality Standards Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) Approved by American Standard Testing Bureau ( ASTB). SP Swedish National Testing and Research Institute Swiss Government Testing Bureau (EMPA). German TUV Institute Michael Brett & Partners South African Bureau of standards

  19. Approved By • Siemens Coach, Austria. • Breda Railway Systems, Italy, • AdTranz Train Systems, Germany, • Alsthom, Manufacturers of French high speed TGV Train, France. • NATO Army • Heeremac Marine Constructors Netherlands • Acmat, Leading Manufacturer of Military Material, France. • Heuliez Bus Manufacturer, France. • Axial, Major British Transport Company, Great Britain, France. • Sides, Manufacturer of trailers and special vehicles, France. • Approved by Mahindra and Mahindra, Ford India, TATA, • BOVA Bus manufacturing, IVECO, MAN, IRIS Bus, etc.

  20. Successful Tests Carried out • Salt Spray Test by ARAI – No corrosion observed. Exceeds the requirement • Flammability Test by ARAI – No flame propagation and drips observed • R&D Institute of Transport Engineering – Recommended for cavity rust proofing • R&D Institute of Transport Engineering – Determined the life on a sandblasted surface as 10 years • American Standard Testing Bureau – Fire resistance – Did not ignite • High Temperature – No sagging found • Creep Test – Indicating excellent penetrating characteristics • Fire Resistance – MIL C 0083933A(MR) – No flame propagation and drips observed
