  1. Bandwidth analysis of F1Δ, V1Σ & H1Σ states Helgi Rafn Hróðmarsson

  2. Bandwidth analysis was performed on the H state, F state and V state for evidence of interaction between Rydberg states and ion pair states. • J’ values are on the x axes, bandwidth in wavenumbers (cm-1) are on the y axes.

  3. Same tipping point is observed for J = 4 for the H state. H state being slightly pushed together by (m+7) and (m+8) V states? • Bandwidth analysis was not performed on the O lines because they too frequently coincided with other peaks and they’re just too small for the multi peak fit in IGOR to handle.

  4. Great peaks in J’=4,5,6 as to be expected. Clear evidence of great interaction between ion pair and rydberg states. • Bandwidth analysis for the V state was not performed on the molecular ions due to small intensity of the molecular ion peaks.

  5. As for the V state, the F state shows clear evidence of strong interactions between the two states. • BW-analysis not performed on the single atom ions due to lack of intensity.

  6. Rise in bandwidth at J’=6 due to the the peak coinciding with an O line within the F state. • Rise and fall at J’=4,5 due to interaction with the atomic line. Gateways to dissociative state!?

  7. Slight rise in BW for the R and S lines. The large rise in the H79Br peak for the S line should be lower. Bad fitting – small peak.

  8. Conclusion • BW analysis shows clear signs of great perturbation between the F state and V state. Not as much for the H state but still some evidence of a small interaction.
