Volcarona Our country
Where is the island? Volcarona is just underneath Tenerife, an island inthe canaries, also volcanic. As it is volcanic it has a very high temperature. To counter this, scientist have created a machine to change the temperature for each person, according to each persons preferred temp. Underneath, there is a natural temperature and rainfall chart.
Environment Volcarona’s environment is hotter up north but has a cooler temperature in southern areas. There are many rivers that run through the jungles in the centre on the country. Just outside the jungle is a tributary that is backed on to the one and only water mill left since the volcanic eruption that changed the island. There are at least three caverns in each well known city that the lava miners have dug to get the minerals in the rock.
People The inhabitants of Volcarona are kind and gentle people although they have strong opinions about their religion. They are quite funny and they are not afraid to have a good laugh and express themselves. The people are keen on hunting the giant cod that live in the lava lakes so they are endangered now. They also like to devour the giant dragonfly’s that pester them all day.
Religion Volcaronans are very religious people and they have a strong belief. They only worship two gods, a phoenix that they believe lives in the centre of the main volcano and a sea serpent that they believe lives in the water volcano. They believe that the phoenix stopped the volcanos erupting again. Therefore, they sacrifice a cod and 4 dragonfly's each year by throwing them into the main volcano. They believe that the sea serpent stops the island from flooding. They sacrifice a day of water to keep the serpent happy.
What the flag represents. The Volcaronan flag is a colourful and complicated one. The volcano in the middle represents the main volcano which the Phoenix and the ruler of Volcarona live in. Either side are the Phoenix and Sea Serpent. In the background is the famous cable car that allows you to travel around the island at a birds eye view.
Why we chose the currency We chose currency because people believe that when Andrew was King, the Phoenix dropped a £50 note in the volcano. The volcano did not like it so it blew the note out, and on the note was a volcano. Therefore we decided to photocopy the note and we decided to make. From then on we decided to make the it the official currency. Its is the same as pounds and pence.
Numbers system We choose this number system because it has the key point’s of volcarona including the webbed feet cat the serpent and the outline of the island.
State of Government Our state of Government is democracy. We hold elections every 3 years. It is working extremely well and is attracting immigrants and tourists.
History Volcarona History A group of Spanish cabin crew had set off on a voyage around the world. On their travels they experienced a small island off the coast of Tenerife. Even though they had been to Tenerife before they swore they hadn’t seen the island there before. Some time later, in 1920AD, an ancestor of Pizzaro discovered an island with his friends and family. They thought the island had everything they needed to live there. After a few years of living on the island they decided to name it Jungleatus because it was full of trees, plants and loads of animals. In a lot of places there were volcanos as well which ,at this point ,were dormant. The inhibitors were the very first people to live on Jungleatus (Volcarona.) The population grew into the thousands, with people living in everyone area of the island. But, 5 years later, a tragedy happened. A tragedy that changed the island forever. A minor earthquake struck the Canary Islands, not enough to damage anything in the well known islands, but for Volcarona, this was a different story. The vibrations caused all the volcanos on the island to erupt, destroying all life but the jungle of flames and the settlers that live there. The survivors restarted the country's population and it rose higher than it ever had been. In 1940 two brothers, Sam and Andrew Stanley were born. . The country decided to get a leader and the two brothers wanted to be leader. The two brothers fought ferociously for the leadership. This is known as the war of the crown. During this war, Andrew married Olivia Mouldberry and gained two children, Amelia and Richard Whisker. Richard died at an early age as he got caught in crossfire between Sam and Andrew. It is actually Andrew that fired the bullet that takes Richard’s life. In 1949, Sam gave up the battle and moved to LA. Andrew was crowned first king of Volcarona.
History part2 Almost straight after Andrew was crowned king, a criminal named Charlie came to the island from China. He was the first criminal to come to Volcarona and attempt to blow up the jungle of flames. King Andrew captured Charlie and beheaded him. From then on the punishments have always been brutal. In1952, Andrew died after falling off a volcano sacrificial volcano. (Some historians contend that Andrew was mentally ill and committed suicide.) Olivia suspiciously poisoned by… Amelia took the thrown. 7 years later, Amelia got married Prince Harry of Wales. They made 3 children Tyler, Anthony and Jodie. In 1964 Amelia gave up the throne to Tyler (as he was the eldest of the trio) and moved to LA with Jodie. 6 years later Sam died after falling of a cliff (did someone push him???). In 1989 Anthony and Tyler fought for the crown as Anthony was jealous of Tyler. Legend has it that the brothers were fighting by the river steam when the legendary Sea- Serpent swam down it and dragged them into the watery depths below. The final battle is now called the battle of leadership. The country spends 12 years without a leader until an old man came to rule the country through listening to the citizens and he is still ruling Volcarona by this day. The most recent event that has happened was in 2012. The Phoenix was sighted flying out of the main volcano and around the world, leaving a trail of rainbows. The Sea –Serpent has also been sighted swimming around the world, and the Olympic committee admitted that this is what they based Wenlock and Mandeville on.
Animals in Volcarona The creatures that live on Volcarona are found nowhere else in the world. The inhabitants have found a new species of cat that have webbed feet and are great to take home and keep as pets. Unlike normal cats, they love water, so don’t be surprised if they want to go out for a walk in the rain. We also have giant cod that live in the lava lakes and taste great as the meat they have on them is spicy. If you come on holiday here, you receive a green whistle. If you are late somewhere, you can blow the whistle and a swarm of giant dragonfly come to fly you to your destination. Along with these, you will find almost every other animal with a slight difference.
Animals in Volcarona 2 We also have other animals in Volcarona. Living in the mountains we have the deadly cuerno perforador, a deadly purple beast that has a sharp horn at the front of its head. It is often the cause of earthquakes. In the arctic places is the noche asessino. It is known for eating humans and is like the polar bear of Volcarona. Found in the Volcaronan deserts is the columna rodillo, a strange looking animal that tunnels underground in the sand to hunt animals with its sharp claws
Animals in Volcarona 3 Living in the volcanos are the carbone tartaruga. The leader of the island has one as a pet. They are ancient creatures that have a calm nature. Occasionally, a terra battaglia may arise from a volcano. Once it appears, it will cause total destruction. The only thing that will stop it is liquid nitrogen. Therefore, the police carry 20 barrels in a van for emergencies. At sundown, it is common for a devastare cane to run to the cliff tops and howl.
Animals in Volcarona 4 When the island is in danger, it is likely to see the leggenda cervo. There is only one in the world, so it is worshipped nearly as much as the gods. In the jungle of flames you are almost guaranteed to find a Foresta lucertola, a humanoid reptilian with leaves growing out of it. It is known for its own martial art, reptiliane luftuar, a combat that is mainly slashes from the leaves that sprout from its arms.
Hotels. We have one hotel in Volcarona, as it is not massive. The hotels have everything you need, from swimming pools to games rooms. We have a room at the back for luxury, with massage chairs and foot spas. It is a great hotel and is rated 8 star, better than that of any other in the world

Creation story. stars, to light up the world forever. The biggest one became the sun. The sea serpent, seeing tIn the beginning the universe was in chaos. There were only monsters, drifting about the void, ripping each other apart. Then the Phoenix arose, its fiery aura destroying all of the beasts and monsters. It shot a ball of burning flames from its mouth. There was one monster that the phoenix did not destroy. It was a vicious sea serpent. The sea serpent shot a ball of water from its mouth and cooled the fireball. It hovered in the air, spinning from the force of the blast but stayed still otherwise. The ball of cooled flame hardened, turning it into earth. The sea serpent hovered closer to the world and shot a massive torrent of water at it. After about half an hour, two thirds of the world was covered in water. As the sea-serpent landed in the sea, some of his scales fell into the water. These grew into fish and sea creatures. When the phoenix landed, its aura made the atmosphere react strangely and it created gravity. It also breathed gently on the land that remained and plants and animals grew. The phoenix shot another, smaller ball of fire just above the land and where the fiery path trailed, volcano’s and mountains grew. The sea serpent moulded some of the water into humans, one male one female. Finally, the phoenix retreated into a massive volcano, bigger than all the rest, on the small island of Volcarona. Just before it fully disappeared into the volcano, the phoenix shot millions of massive fireballs, some bigger than the world itself, some just smaller. The sea serpent shot water at them, but only managed to hit a few. This became the moon and the planets, whilst the others became the stars, to light up the world forever. The biggest one became the sun. The sea serpent, seeing that its job was done, swam to the bottom of the deepest ocean, to sleep until disaster struck, so he could awake to save the world he helped to create. The creators are still sleeping, waiting to be awoken
