Mission Statement: To enhance the lives of children with diabetes through personal empowerment, family support, community awareness and public advocacy. • Activities include: • ShotSpots Bear Boxes for newly-diagnosed children • CampFreedom overnight camp for kids with diabetes • Parent CoffeeConnections • Training for school nurses and other caregivers • Annual Sweet Run 5K to raise awareness and funds • Medical assistance fund • Advocacy for children with diabetes • Scholarships for students
