  2. There are five different groups of animals with vertebrates. These classifications are • Mammals • Reptiles • Fish • Amphibians • Birds

  3. The Classification • The classification of the Pygmy marmoset is a mammal because it is a part of the monkey family and it has lungs. • It lives in the canopy of the Rainforest. • The marmoset is one of the smallest monkeys.

  4. My Animals Classification Continued Marmosets are born live. When they are born they are less than 6 inches long. They weigh less than 8 ounces.

  5. Animal Adaptation Marmosets have sharp teeth for biting into trees. A marmoset’s small size helps it hide from predators.

  7. Behavior and Social Habitat Marmosets live in the canopy of the rainforest. Marmosets have sharp teeth for biting into trees. Marmosets have sharp claws for climbing trees.

  8. Behavior and Social Habitat Marmosets are small and brown this helps them blend in and be tiny. Marmosets have long tails for hanging from trees. Marmosets can stay still so they look like a tree.

  9. Facts Marmosets have a high pitched screech that humans can’t hear. They also have a furless face. This makes them easy to identify.
