Req # 5: Recorded Music Time = 15 pts Plan, conduct and evaluate a 30-minute music time with young children 2 through 6 years of age centered on a theme selected from a prescribed list. Req. # 6: Synthesis Paper = 20 pts Describe importance of music in early childhood. • Your experiences participating in: • Making music, • Discussing musical expression with classmates, and • Implementing music with young children • Find and discuss one professional research paper. • Why do you emphasize music in your program? • Describe in one statement how music enables children to believe themselves to be creative individuals, personally and socially. • Requirements: • Post Draft and Final paper as Word document in Drop Boxes and Discussion Forums on due dates. • Adhere to minimum of 75 word count per section. • Reference research with sufficient info (~APA = best).
