Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche Institute for Atmospheric Pollution – EKOLab Knowledge Organisation & Terminology Thesaurus • completion of EARTh structure (classification and sub-relations) and enhancement of its terminological content also with • environment-related Earth Sciences terminology (~ 1.500 terms from Italian & International Thesaurus for Geosciences) • environment-related Disasters & Emergencies terminology (mainly from TED/MEDIS UBA-A initiative)

Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche Institute for Atmospheric Pollution – EKOLab Specific-Domain Thesauri & Terminology • GIS & Remote Sensing Thesaurus (~ 2.800 terms) • Inland Water Thesaurus (~ 1.500 terms from the EU-IST EDEN-IW project) • Snow & Ice Thesaurus (~ 3.000 terms. This activity is related to CNR Polar and Alpine research activities) • Italian National Reference Terminology System (STeRNA)

Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche Institute for Atmospheric Pollution – EKOLab Technological Development • Scientific and financial contribution to SuperThes package development • Implementation of a thesaurus Web Service • Implementation of an online tool for the external management of parts of the terminology (i.e. translations) • Development of a software for the analysis of concordances (Concord )
